Job Responsibilities
The position will report to and assist the Chief Financial Officer.
- Assist Fiscal Laws Committee in performing its functions as leading national think tank on fiscal laws.
- As Secretary of ICAP’s Fiscal Laws Committee, remain updated on the latest laws and pronouncements including ICAP’s taxation matters.
- Prepare updates on the recent changes in taxation laws or any legal pronouncement issued by courts in respect of tax laws for circulation amongst the members.
- Assist ICAP in making sharp and focused recommendations to the Government of Pakistan on fiscal matters.
- Assist ICAP in preparation of Federal and Provincial Budgets annually.
- Manage relationships with relevant statutory bodies especially the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economic Affairs, FBR, also with Provincial Tax Authorities and with other related institutions and important stakeholders.
Job Specifications
- The candidate should be a Chartered Accountant with at least 05 years of post-qualification experience and having at least 2 years of taxation related experience.
Skills Required
- The candidate should be a motivated team player and be ready to lead this important function.
- He/ She should possess strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
