Job Responsibilities
The position will report to the Director APRSP / AML.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct firm and engagement reviews to ensure that firms carry out Audit, Assurance & Related services in accordance with the Professional Standards adopted by the ICAP and support the firms to improve their quality of work.
- Carry out reviews of financial statements as per applicable financial reporting framework.
- Independently carry out effective offsite / onsite inspection of the practicing firms in line with the requirements of the AML Regulations.
- Efficiently carry out the AML / CFT supervisory activities in line with the AML regulations issued by the ICAP.
- Ensure proper addressal and resolution of queries from members, regulators and other stakeholders on the implementation of AML/CFT laws and regulations.
- Maintain records required under ICAP's audit practice review and AML/CFT frameworks and AML/CFT legislation.
- Prepare reports of reviews/inspections conducted and assist in the preparation of agenda and minutes of relevant Committees.
- Perform any other task assigned from time to time.
Job Specifications
- A Chartered Accountant (ICAP Member), preferably with 02 years of post-qualification experience.
- Practical knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISAs), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Corporate Laws, AML/CFT legislation and regulations.
- Understanding of Pakistan's AML/CFT legislation, FATF Recommendations and international AML/CFT best practices.
- Preference will be given to candidates having experience of working in a chartered accountant firm having satisfactory QCR rating and/or experience in AML/CFT compliance or supervision.
Skills Required
Excellent communication, management, analytical and report-writing skills, with the ability to deal with complex technical matters.
