Job Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor and liaison for ICAP members on regulatory matters, facilitating dialogue and support to resolve policy-related challenges.
- Serve as ICAP’s primary liaison with the government, ensuring timely and effective engagement on regulatory and legislative matters in alignment with the Institute’s strategic objectives.
- Proactively engage with key federal ministries and regulatory authorities including the Ministries of Finance, Law & Justice, and Education, as well as SECP, SBP and FBR, to facilitate ICAP to play its due role in development of relevant policies and regulatory frameworks.
- Fostering positive engagements and strong relationships with stakeholders such as ICAP members in corporate sector and practice and learning partners.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) is seeking a dynamic and strategic professional to lead its government and stakeholder engagement agenda. This role is central to advancing the strategic government relations and stakeholder engagement agenda of ICAP. Positioned in Islamabad, the role involves proactively representing ICAP before federal ministries, regulatory bodies, and public institutions.
The Institute will also consider suitably qualified candidates who have retired from senior positions in government departments or regulatory authorities.
Job Specifications
- The candidate should be a Masters or Chartered Accountant (ICAP Member) with at least 10 years of experience in a senior position in government departments or regulatory authorities, preferably, in relevant entities.
Skills Required
- Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with proven work experience in managing and leading the government affairs.
- Proven ability to engage with senior government officials, regulators and policymakers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and must have high integrity, diplomacy, and ability to handle sensitive matters discreetly. <
